    Erie BayHawks News Release

The Erie BayHawks (10-2) clinched their first playoff berth since the 2017-18 season, following a 126-91 victory over the Greensboro Swarm (4-7) inside AdventHealth Arena on Sunday evening.

A game in which they never trailed, Erie went on a 25-8 run spanning the second and third quarter thanks to quality performances from the BayHawks second unit. Forwards Naji Marshall and Yoeli Childs were key proponents to that run, as Marshall notched 18 of his game-high 22 points in the second half, adding five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 25 minutes.

Childs registered his first double-double of the season with a season-high 16 points and a season-high 10 rebounds in 26 minutes as a reserve, helping Erie's bench to a season-high 73 points (30-57 FG, .526) in the contest.

Admiral Schofield was a bright spot for the Swarm on the night, as he logged a team-high 19 points on 7-10 (.700) shooting from the field, four rebounds, three assists and a game-high tying two steals in 23 minutes off the bench. Ray McCallum added 15 points, a team-high four assists and three rebounds in 28 minutes as a reserve.

Tonight, Erie tied a franchise record with 62 rebounds (overtime excluded). The last time that feat was accomplished by the BayHawks was Nov. 2, 2018 against the Grand Rapids Drive. Jarrod Uthoff was all over the glass on the evening, as he pulled-down a career-high 22 rebounds, adding nine points, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes of action.

Other notable performers for the BayHawks were Jalen Adams and Caleb Homesley. Adams tallied 16 points, a game-high eight assists and five rebounds in 33 minutes, while Homesley posted a season-high 19 points on 4-7 (.571) shooting from distance, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in 27 minutes.

Following tonight's contest, the BayHawks square off with the Santa Cruz Warriors on Tuesday, March 2. Tip is set for 11:00 a.m. ET inside AdventHealth Arena. Greensboro hits the court tomorrow, March 1, against the Lakeland Magic inside HP Field House. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
