The kid is showing he's the real deal. I wish it was on TV. I hope there's at least some highlights. At least three dunks. 6 assists so far. Shooting a good percentage. I still think he'll be the starter by the end of the year.
I'd like to know the nature of the turnovers, cause there's turnovers and TURNOVERS, if they were of the sloppy, bad pass, stepped on the baseline variety that's one thing, if they were from trying to create in the lane then that's a little more forgivable.
I don't think this is an issue with Bayless anymore then it is an issue with Sergio, Rudy or Roy. They all have a lot of turnovers. Bayless is learning to be a PG and 4 TO's isn't good but I wouldn't say that it is going to be an issue with Bayless.
I wish I had been able to watch the game and understand how he played better. I agree that there can be turnovers and then there can be TURNOVERS. Jarrett Jack had a lot of TURNOVERS.
He's a rookie, he's going to have turnovers. If he has them at the rate Jack did in his 3rd year, then that is cause for concern
Kidd takes chances, as does Nash. They are high reward, high risk types. But you trust them with the ball in their hands.
It's going to be the nature of the second unit. Sergio, Rudy and Bayless are all high risk high reward players, and they're going to make some spectacular plays and maybe give some away. I'll take that over Jarrett Jack, whose spectacular plays lasted one game, then would just stink the next four or five. Bayless is already so much better than Jack.
Kidd, A.I. and Nash are always leading the L in turnovers. A Jason Kidd T.O. is a lot different then a Jarrett Jack T.O. Bayless is a very aggressive player. When you are always on the attack, you are going to give the ball up every now and then. Nate will rein him in every now and then, but we need a player that will take it to the other team.
I would say that the former would be much more easily correctable, though. Either way, it's still early in his rookie season and Jerryd seems like the kind of guy that will wish to correct those kinds of mistakes by any means necessary.
