It's official, the computers hate you guys. How the hell does only one of them have you in the top 5. I'm so glad this is the last year of this shit. Going strictly off of the computer rankings, the top ten would be: Florida Notre Dame Alabama Kansas State Oregon State Oregon South Carolina Texas Tech LSU Oklahoma Luckily for you, either Bama or Florida will have at least 1 loss and I think Notre Dame loses to USC, so as lo ng as you take care of business you should be in. http://espn.go.com/college-football...labama-crimson-tide-florida-gators-ranked-1-2 Just the standings http://espn.go.com/college-football/bcs
This is an area that I have always disliked. I can't believe that USC is barely behind the Beavers. Heres a bowl scenario... Currently by week 7 the bowl predictors are saying that USC will go to the rose bowl and the ducks to the championship game. http://espn.go.com/college-football/bowls/projections?season=2012&week=7 But wait.... If the ducks beat the Beavers in the Civil war, then the ducks will play USC for the Pac 12 title game. If the Ducks win the title game that will have USC with 2 losses in the Pac 12. How then could USC go to the rose bowl ?
I'm not worried about this shit right now. There's still A LOT of season left to play. If we were in the last week or two, and still on the outside looking in, I would be a little more concerned. Florida could still lose, Alabama could still lose.... the Ducks could still lose. No point getting bent out of shape over the BCS at this point. With that said, I agree. I can't wait until this shit is over.
Because if the Ducks go to the title game, the Rose Bowl will have the option to choose any team it wants for its Pac-12 slot. If the committee thinks USC would be a better draw than OSU (which it would be, unfortunately), then they can make that choice.
worry about whats in front of you/what you can control, the rest is white noise. If Oregon wins out and doesn't make it to the BCS game because other undefeated teams are deemed more worthy, thats just the breaks under the current system... it still will have been a great year that said, remaining teams ahead who (with a win) add to their Strength of Schedule include ASU, Stanford, USC, OSU & the PAC 12 Championship game. ESPN prognosticators are still projecting them in the MNCG STOMP
don't be too sure that the SEC won't be fellated when playoffs happen. RIght now SEC would get 2 of the 4 slots. If it was an 8-team playoff, they'd get 4 of the 8. I don't agree, but the playoff isn't going to help as long as the BCS ranking format is in place.
This has nothing to do with kissing the SECs ass...... they deserve it. That is one kickass conference.
I missed the fact that if the Ducks beat USC on 10/20 in the Los Angeles Colliseum and also the title game. USC will then have 3 losses which won't entitle them to get to the Rose Bowl. This means the Beavers should be selected with their one loss to the Ducks if they win out the rest of their games.
I'm just hoping that OSU doesn't run the table (including the Civil War), then lose to 2-loss USC (or Stanford) in the Pac-12 Championship, leaving a 1-loss Oregon and 1-loss OSU that won't go to the Rose Bowl and won't go to the NC. One may get an at-large BCS, but the other's playing the Alamo Bowl against the Big 12. Though Oregon vs. WVU's defense in the Alamo might be the first triple-digit bowl game.
Quite right. It doesn't matter how much "derp derp Barkley is best QB hurp" hype there is. Geno is better, and so is Sean Mannion, and the latter gets the nod because he's only a sophomore. I see him being a first round pick by the time he's a senior
The SEC will take care of themselves in due time. Bama will take out Florida and Georgia may take out Florida too.... Notre Dame will get slapped by the Sooners and USC and Oregon St. may not survive this weekend against the Fuskies.... All we have to do is wax ASU in style and start focusing for USC.... the rest will happen with or without us!
kansas state prolly has the easiest road to the title game, alabama and them win out and thats that anyways
