Bears rookie safety Brandon Hardin will miss season

    "Walking around the practice facility with a neck brace is never a good sign, and for rookie safety Brandon Hardin, it signaled the end of his season.

    The Bears put him on injured reserve Sunday, and he'll miss the entire 2012 season.

    Selected in the third round out of Oregon State, Hardin (6-3, 222 pounds) caught the eye of the coaching staff early on in camp. But that excitement came to an abrupt halt in the second preseason game against the Washington Redskins when he injured his neck and had to be carted off."

    figured he would be a boom or bust type player, I was not A Fan of the Pick.

    Thanks, I was looking for line Help
    I love Hardens size but The Bears have two safetys with some injury history.

    I'm very excited about the moves ... In the offseason you're trying to improve your ballclub. We've done that, starting off with signing some of our own players. That was big for us to bring back some of our guys, and then some of the new additions. We feel like we have a special group.

    I've liked Hardin but like all had the concerns about his injuries. Sad to see him on IR.

    Hmm. Not so fast, the new IR rules could allow the bears to bring him back this season if needed.
