The laugher that Lance Berkman mentioned might loosen the Cardinals up after a tense opening week of minimal offense finally found them in the desert. The Cardinals trounced Arizona, 8-2, to give them 14 runs total in consecutive games, a new season-high for runs scored, their first multi-homer game as a team, their first multi-homer game from a single player and ... Oh, their first winning streak of the season. After Kyle McClellan guided the Cardinals through a taut six innings, Berkman and a few of his new teammates jumped the Arizona Diamondbacks' bullpen for a salvo of homers. Berkman hit his first and second homer as a Cardinal. Both came off D-Backs reliever, including a two-run shot in the top of the ninth inning off Juan Gutierrez. Berkman's second homer of the game landed in the Arizona bullpen out in left field. Jon Jay followed with a homer off Gutierrez -- this one to right field.
