    Krstic or Boone?

I think everyone is in agreement that Lopez is the clear cut starter, but if you had a choice which would you rather have backing him up?

Maybe matching this term sheet and trading Boone is the route to go?

i went with Boone. He's younger and more defensive oriented than krstic is... Krstic does have a better jumpshot obviously however, with Lopez out, we need someone who can grab boards effectively and play hard on D....

(Krstic was such a different player before that injury its a shame how his game went 180 since)

Krstic is the far superior player.

In fact he's worth signing to see if he can turn his career around again.

boone fits the backup center role perfectly...but krstic is type of player you keep around for his flexibility who can backup both frontline positions and is a borderline starter...someone like a boris diaw...i think $5M/yr is just about right for nenad if a team has the money...

I think Krstic is too similar to Lopez which means Boone is the better fit.

I don't get this reasoning. You wouldn't have two Lopez type players on the roster if you could?

I wouldn't want to be paying two people for doing the same job unless they were Kobe or Howard.

There is times when Lopez is the right fit to be on the floor and times when Boones the right fit to be on the floor. When you have two similar type players, you have no options.

Plus Krstic now plays the PF better than Yi or Anderson.

the race is a close one!!!!!!!! Pre-injury krstic would've been the no brainer for me but right now definitely take Boone plus he defends the bigs much better than Krstic did.

It's not like they'll cost the same. A good back-up big man at $5mm isn't bad. That's what Boone will probably get once he's off his rookie deal in 2010.

Boone doesn't impress me off the bench lately. Seems to be having a hard time getting into the flow off the bench. On both ends of the court.

Well, I'd rather pay Boone on his rookie contract till 2010 and find someone else then if that's an option lol.

If Krstic can get back to 80% of the player he was, and Lopez develops to be the beast we think he can be, I can imagine the looks on opposition's faces after being abused by Brook and Krstic comes in to replace him!

on a side note, it's coming... the moment where Frank is going to yell at Brook and Brook grabs him by his arms, lifts him up and rips a piece of his forehead off with his teeth in anger... LOL

brook, boone, curly, yi, mr. anderson, SWat and a blake griffin-type rookie would be one hell of a young frontline rotation...
