I still don’t understand how the team believes Hezonja is a better option than say Gerald Green. Gerald has been on a lot of teams, he knows how to adjust to a system on the fly. He actually played for Stotts back in Dallas, so the system wouldn’t be completely foreign
I'm not understanding this? I thought the date to get replacements had passed already? Can the Blazers still get a replacement?
Yes. The deadline was just for open roster spots. Players can still opt out and teams can still replace them.
He’s established himself in the second part of his career. He’d be on Houston right now if it was allowed.
Green, Crabbe, or Thomas if they want a vet that can play Hartenstein, Bender, or Koumadje if they want to replace biggie for practice/look at a possible piece for next season.
Biggie opting out is the basketball equivalent of, "if a tree falls in the forest and there's no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?"
I hope the dude is ok, mentally, but basketball wise I couldn’t care any less that he’s not on the roster. Well actually I do care, but only because we get to replace him.
