NBC Sports NW did a quick "Mt. Rushmore" of shooting guards in Blazer history, settling on Clyde, Roy, Paxson, and Petrie (nope, CJ not on the list yet). Figured we could have a thread where we argued about that one, as well as Rushmores for the other 4 positions as well.

    PG- Lillard
    SG- Roy
    SF- Pippen
    PF- Sheed
    C- Sabonis

I only included guys I watched play, although I’d probably go with Roy over Drexler either way.

    PG--Porter, Dame, Strickland, Damon
    SG--Clyde, Roy, Paxson, Petrie
    SF--Kersey, Cliffy, Pippen, Gross(?)
    PF--Luke, LA, Sheed, Buck
    C--Walton, Sabas, Duck, Thompson

Argue with me. PF is obviously ripe for disagreement.

Really good list. I'd switch Sheed and LMA regardless, but for sentimentals I'd put Buck over Sheed and LMA also.
I'm a bit too young for hard-core analysis of them, but are Paxson and Petrie that much better than Kiki and CJ?

Oh..hmm..ok but I’m going to continue only listing guys Ive watched play..so this might be a shit list.

PG- Lillard, Stoudamire, Andre Miller, Anthony

SG- Roy, Matthews, McCollum, Steve Smith

SF- Pippen, Bonzi, Batum, Gerald Wallace

    PF- Sheed, Aldridge, Grant, Zbo

    C- Sabonis, Nurkic, Przybilla, Camby

I went back and forth on Camby, Rolo, and Oden. In a vacuum where injuries dont knock a guy, I’d probably go with Oden. Man what could’ve been. I remember his stretch right before his final injury. He was looking like the monster we all wanted. FUCK

PG - Lillard, Stoudamire, Porter, Strickland
SG - Drexler, Roy, McCollum, Smith
SF - Pippen, Robinson, Kersey, Pippen again....
PF - Grant, Sheed, LMA, ZBO
C - Walton, Sabonis, Camby, Nurk

Man ,we have been thin over the years at Center and SF.... Though we have legit names in those spots, the known names drop off QUICK!

I had to put Pippen twice, because I dont think anyone else is worthy, and then I had to add Nurk, because As much respect as I have for Duck, I think Nurk is and will be better.

Nurk is the man! Eventually he will get his proper due (this wasnt a dig at you, just generally speaking) And hes still so young. Dude just got paid yet hes been in the gym all summer working, and is about to go rep his country in the World Cup qualifiers. Compare all that to someone like Turner, whos been partying non stop since the season ended. A joke.

Ahhh even if you were digging, Id grab a shovel and dig too. lol.

Just curious, I havent heard much about Turner this off season. Did you hear that legit, or are you just guessing, hypothesizing based on no info about working on his game this summer?

I honestly hope you are wrong, but my guy tells me you are right. YHe is gonna come in to the season as Felton2.0.

    Wheres the dognuts?????

This sucks for me since I’m 33 now and I didn’t get to see or remember much of the early 90’s and before but I have spent some time on ESPN classic :).
    PG’s : Dame Dolla - Porter - Stoudemire - Rod Strickland(?)
SG’s - Broy, Clyde, Petrie, and Wes Matthews (look I realize he may not deserve but This is my list and I absolutely loved watching him play. :)).
SF -Pippen, Cliffy, Kersey, umm I hear @hoopsjock is the right size to play sf...
PF - LMA, Sheed, Thompson, and Buck Williams
C - Bill Walton, Sabas, Duckworth, Robin Lopez.

    Dame
    Clyde
    Kersey
    Lucas
    Walton

I don't put Pippen on there because he wasn't an all time great while playing for the Blazers. I think Kersey contributed more to the team. I don't think the rest of my picks need any sort of explanation.

I used to follow him on instagram until I got over his daily party posts this summer and unfollowed. I’m not even exaggerating, he was partying every day. It was like watching that shitty show Entourage.

Did Thompson play Center more than PF? Before my time, but I always thought he played PF, I may need to change my mountain sculptures.
