"There have been only four players ever, in fact, to play at least 20 minutes per game in the regular season and the postseason for a title winner after being a part of a deadline deal: Rasheed Wallace (2004 Pistons), Clyde Drexler (1995 Rockets), Mark Aguirre (1989 Pistons) and Mychal Thompson (1987 Lakers)."

The Blazers didn't trade Mychal to the Lakers.

Really? My memory's foggy on that. What happened between us and them?

Technically, we didn't trade Rasheed to the Pistons, either, but he was with Atlanta what, one day?

Hmm, half a season with the Spurs, it appears. Sort of fits with the Rasheed flip by Atlanta, so I say it still counts as 75%!

Yes. Sheed played one game for the Hawks. I was there (it was in NJ) and I noticed a player on the Hawks whom Sheed was taking under his wing and encouraging. That player played great that night. His name was Joel Przybilla.

Umm, sorry to burst your bubble, but Joel was 2-11 in that game with 4 points. But credit where credit is due, Sheed, always one to lead by example, was 8-24 himself in that game. So, the two had a combined .286 FG%. It's not too hard to see why they lost to the Nets that night. Tough to win when your bigs miss over 70% of their shots.
