ESPN must not think much of Bennett, not that I think much of ESPN or their trade machine win/lose projections. For giggles, I made some mock Blazer/Minny trades on ESPN trade machine. Kaman straight up for Bennett ESPN projected we would win 5 more games with Kaman than with Bennett.
Not sure "great" was brought up in this thread? T-Rob has been on 4 different teams in two years. He was pretty solid, and his numbers on Philly, where he got a real chance showed he was pretty damn decent
Hard to say what's the reason but TRob will stick somewhere..TRob has a motor. What I read said Bennett's a project..I'm surprised Dallas doesn't give him a shot
I never said we could get Shabazz straight up. But maybe if we send out a lotto protected 1st and agree to take Pek they'd think about giving up Shabazz. And $20M is too much? We have $20M in cap space that will likely go unused. Might as well get assets from it.
Go unused? Sorry I don't buy that. $20 mil can be used in many trades, especially if our youth plays well
it could, you'd just have to judge whether you think the package Minny offers would be more valuable than one we could get down the road.
The Blazers have about $50.5 million committed in team salary. The minimum NBA team salary for the 2015/16 season is about $63 million. Olshey has about $12.5 million in free money to play with. Which player that makes more than $12.5 million on any team is a team is looking to dump to clear cap space, and we would want to trade cap space for? (the reason for only one player instead of multiple players is, our roster is getting crowded). Anyone have any ideas?
No he doesn't because Neil IS SMART; he goes after high pick players that HAVE potential & CAN b good (years down the road taken into consideration).
Good possibility but what I heard the players they wanted was better than the ones that the wolves wanted to trade that got nix quickly by the gm.
If Miller is bought out, only the buyout amount counts against the cap and the team gains a roster spot.
I wonder if the Warriors would want to dump David Lee. He's on the books at 15.5 million and they have quite an expensive roster. I don't think we'd want David Lee though. And I'm sure Boston would love to give us Gerald Wallace, but that guy needed to retire 3 years ago.

Kaman is, for now, our token old guy. We don't need any more old guys. The only way we should trade one of our front court prospects, is for a better front court prospect, a young guard or wing, or a front court player a year or two further along in his development. No old guys.
