doesnt make a lot of sense to me unless they have a deal in place to ship nurk out.
unless they are planning to move nurk to pf.....? didnt that fail miserably in denver?

ugh. Neil needs to stop with this. We get it, you like that Clipper squad you put together, but Jordan is old, on the decline, and brings skills that our team does not need.

FWIW, a Nurk + ET for Jordan deal works. And that I'd do just to rid myself of the misery that is Evan Turner. But outside of something like that, I have 0 interest in Deandre.

In other words, we offered them Evan Turner and Jake Layman for Jordan.

Hey, it never hurts to ask.

Or, maybe it was Meyers and Moe.

Seems fair. Meyers and DeAndre are both 7-foot centers with PER = 20.0. Plus, Meyers is younger and costs half as much.

seriously, why would you do this... DeAndre Jordan is 29 yo, provides defense (so does Nurk) and rebounding (hes better rebounder than Nurk), but has no offensive game whatsoever... Nurk is a good fit here, is 23 yo with a lot of upside

    I just dont get it...

That would likely mean the Blazers are trying to move Nurkic and that's NOT what the fans want.

If we can facilitate a three way and end up with Jabari, I'd be all aboard.

Who said anyone was serious? He might have just tossed out an offer to rid the team of some of their bad contracts.

Nurk only plays 27 MPG. Who would you rather have playing center for the other 21 minutes, Ed Davis or DeAndre Jordan?

Not saying any of this is true, but when a player is available, it's the GM's job to explore all the possible options.

so Nurk is a RFA this summer and DeAndre has 1 year player option, but hes likely to opt out

I dont get anything of this

The tweet doesn't mention either Nurk or C.J.

I suspect if the offer included either, the tweet would not have said "the Clippers have yet to receive a proposal from Cleveland, Milwaukee, Portland or anyone else that they’ve found seriously tempting". If either Nurk or C.J. had been offered, I'm sure LAC would have found such an offer seriously tempting. In fact, if Nurk, or C.J., had been offered, the trade probably would be done by now.

Not saying it would, but also not saying it couldn't.

Collins is a PF. Nurk plays 27 MPG. That leaves 21 MPG for a back up center. Ed Davis currently gets 18.3 of those 21 MPG at back up center.

Which is why I asked, who would you rather play center when Nurk is on the bench, DeAndre Jordan or Ed Davis?

I love Ed and I doubt is any deal would ever happen, but it's the GM's job to do his due diligence and explore all options.
