<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Portland Trail Blazers return to the Rose Garden tonight to try their hand again with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Blazers battled hard with the Mavericks Tuesday night and kept the lead throughout the game until Dallas pulled ahead in the final minutes, winning 93-87. Portland has another chance to reverse the fate of the last contest in which Zach Randolph finished with 33 points. The loss, which marked the second time this year Portland has lost by six or less to the Mavericks, concluded a 3-game Texas trip for the Trail Blazers.

The Mavericks, who transferred center Pavel Podkolzin to the NBA Development League Tuesday, will play six of their next seven games on the road. Dallas is in a dead heat with the San Antonio Spurs at the top of the Western Conference.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Rose Garden.
