Lottery picks currently on the Blazers roster:
    2003 #6 Chris Kaman
    2009 #12 Gerald Henderson
    2010 #8 Al-Farouq Aminu
    2010 #13 Ed Davis
    2012 #6 Damian Lillard
    2012 #11 Meyers Leonard
    2013 #10 CJ McCollum
    2014 #9 Noah Vonleh

The Blazers made the playoffs in 24 of the 31 years since the start of the 1985 NBA lottery. Thus the Blazers have had 7 lottery selections as a consolation prize for a Blazers losing season. This is a list of those players followed by 5 players selected next in each draft:

2004 #13 Sebastian Telfair (Kris Humphries, Al Jefferson, Kirk Snyder, Josh Smith, JR Smith)
2005 #6 Martell Webster (Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Raymond Felton, Charlie Villanueva, Channing Frye)
2006 #2 LaMarcus Aldridge (Adam Morison, Tyrus Thomas, Shelden Williams, Brandon Roy, Randy Foye)
2007 #1 Greg Oden (Kevin Durant, Al Horford, Mike Conley, Jeff Green, Yi Jianlian)
2008 #11 Jerryd Bayless (Jason Thompson, Brandon Rush, Anthony Randolph, Robin Lopez, Marresse Speights)
2012 #11 Meyers Leonard (Jeremy Lamb, Kendall Marshall, John Henson, Maurice Harkless, Royce White)
2013 #10 CJ McCollum (Michael Carter-Williams, Steven Adams, Kelly Olynyk, Shabazz Muhammad, Giannis Antetkounmpo)

I'd rather have CJ to be honest. I really think CJ has potential to be the kind of guy to drop 50 for you some night.

Goddamn that was a fun game to watch. I remember laughing and saying "Holy shit he's doing it!" over and over.

Interesting note: Basketball-Reference's algorithms have this "closest match" thing where a player's Win Shares from best to worst over time can match up to other similar players in the same position. Dame's #2 match is Andre.

I disagree. I consider it a draft pick. Do you think Sergei Monya was a significant trade asset? Do you think Dallas drafted Robert tractor Taylor? Do you consider Chris Webber a Magic draft pick? I certainly wouldn't call Tyrus Thomas a Blazer. LaMarcus being a Blazer was a direct result of losing games the previous season.

Yes that's why I'd didn't list Roy; acquiring him was in no way related to the losses from the previous season.

Lol I love obscure players that have ONE huge game.

Also... tbh I thought Tracy Murray was the name of the character Morris Chestnut played in Like Mike...

How did the team get the pick (Foye) anyways? I have no memory of that.

Creating the original post one thing surprised me; Gerald Henderson was drafted only one year prior to Aminu and Davis. Many consider the later two core role players but discount Hendo as an aging one year rental.

If Hendo has a productive season for us perhaps we consider giving him a similar cap friendly multi year deal?

My first take on the trade was that Henderson was the "now" and Vonleh was the "later". I hope Hendo is a big part of this year's team. And the next few also, at least.
