@ESPNSteinLine: ESPN sources say Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard are nearing agreement on a five-year max extension with in excess of $120 million
Easy decision. As great as he is on the court, he's even better off of it as an ambassador for this team.
Glad for this. And in the end, Lillard is going to be a good deal compared to all the maxed out points who sign over the next couple years.
Big money but given the rise in the salary cap, it allows the Blazers to continue to put pieces around him going forward. Between this and his Adidas deal, he won't be hurting for lunch money. Neil has been busy. Next!
A solid peice to build a team around that won’t stab us in the back when he finds an easier path.. Fuck LMA lying ass
I just heard on the radio into work that Portland and Dame have agreed to a 5 yr, 120 mill max signing that wont go into effect until next year. Why max him now I asked at first? Because it shows LMA we still have the 2nd of the big three now locked down long term. I see this as a plus sign for LMA staying. Thoughts?
Fans are going to turn on Lillard now. Some of you go bat shit over what players make. "He's not worth the contract." "Look at player X, almost the same stats as Lillard at half the price." "All Lillard cares about is money." "I knew we should have traded him instead of sign him to that horrible contract." "What was Olshey thinking, Lillard is not a max player, I would have only given him $5million."
