Tony Snell is a RFA and the Milwaukie Bucks could potentially use someone like Turner to handle the ball to take some pressure off of Giannis.

Shabazz Muhammad is a RFA who could potentially be a less expensive replacement for Crabbe if we find someone willing to take his salary for future picks. Easy to imagine the wolves not matching him after bringing in Butler. Bazz's minutes won't be there between Butler and Wiggins.

ZBO is an UFA. Hard to see us targeting him after what we did in the draft. Would only make sense if we were to move Davis/Leonard, and sign ZBO for the vet minimum, playing him limited minutes and mainly using him as a veteran mentor role for our young bigs.

Jeff Green is an UFA. I'm not enamored with his game. He has gone down hill since he left Boston. Bounced around from Memphis/LAC/Orlando. Question is could he revamp himself in our system? Harkless is probably the better option(Younger, more atheletic, has showed continued growth), but Green could give us a different look at the 3. If we move Crabbes contract Green could be a decent backup at the 3, a great one if he can turn the clock back a few years playing here. After drafting Isaac it would make sense for Orlando not to attempt re-signing Green.

Those are just a few of many potential FA targets this year. This FA market is actually fairly attractive from our perspective. I think it is highly likely that we move some of our players and bring in somebody new.

    Amir Johnson?

Need to get under the tax so we have our full MLE.

Even if we move Crabbe for nothing we have 0 capspace. Not even sure if we have exceptions we can use, I think we just have the minimum contracts we can offer.

The Kings have a ton of cap space; believe they are now under the minimum team salary.

The Kings are NOT a FA destination. So they will either overpay mediocre FAs, and/or, make a trade to bring in more players. Probably bigs.

The Kings drafted SF Justin Jackson to replace Rudy Gay who opted out, and they have a ton of guards. Trading for Crabbe or Turner does not appear to be a good option for them.

We have a $5M MLE if were over the tax and an $8M MLE if were under the tax. We also have a bi-annual exception worth approximately $3M.

I'd like Zbo back never wanted him traded! I went to his first game as a rookie yelled so loud at Bill Walton to get Zach in the game he finally asked the coach was it cheeks I can't remember? He would add a toughness to the new rookies!

hmm, we might be able to get some decent vets for those numbers. Not a guy who will crack our top 8 rotation but a decent vet non the less.

I've been wanting a legit go-to guy in the bench unit.

Caleb has the chance to be that guy but clearly not right away.

Outside the core (Dame/CJ/Nurk/Collins) I don't think we have enough for Marcus Smart.

Being over the cap really hamstrings anything we can do but for hypothetical purposes my UFA/RFA targets would be:

*Patty Mills - the gunner that got away
*Derrick Rose - he was a surprisingly very efficient mid-range scorer last year. No longer starter quality.
*Ty Lawson - had it not been for his baggage he'd be a max or near max guy. Money wise he's worth a gamble.

I like the Rose/Lawson ideas. Was listening to a podcast where they expected Mills to get 10+ a year so don't think we get him but Rose/Lawson could both be effective off our bench with a green light to shoot whenever they want.

Considering we only have some version of the MLE, here are some realistic (imo) targets.

    Ben McLemore

    Patty Mills

    Shelvin Mack

    Ty Lawson

    Nikola Mirotic

    Jonas Jerebko

    David West

Not much of a list. I like Mirotic and McLemore. Only ones worth pursuing imo. Mills will probably get a bigger offer elsewhere.

    Refined list:

#1) Justin Holiday: Second best net-rating, best defensive rating on the Knicks. Turning into a very solid glue guy. CJ Miles is also in the same mold - both FA.

#2) Patty Mills: The gunner we need off the bench. He's likely out of reach: $10m/per

#3) Ty Lawson/Derrick Rose: Neither are starting caliber, would be interested to see either of these two in a strictly Patty Mills role.

Rudy Gay off the bench would be ideal. He could kind of be our Joe Johnson.

Rudy Gay is going to make more than Jeff Green.

I would love to graft on a low risk/high reward player like Ezili to this lineup. We'd probably have to dump him and free up some more money to do it. But I mean, if we are going to be over the cap anyway, might as well roll the dice on a reclamation project? There always seems to be somebody left out in the cold by the end of the first wave of Summer FA. I still think we find some team willing to a do a salary cap dump/swap with us because there is such a talent vacuum in this league.

What about KJ McDaniel? Nets did not renew, although they may try to resign at lesser amount. Guy who supposedly can guard four positions.

I've always been a fan. Would be interesting to see him and Collins in the starting lineup as scrap/hustle/defenders who don't need shots to contribute. A bench of Turner, Crabbe, Harkless, Aminu and Vonleh would certainly be one of the stronger and deeper in the league...

None. We have no roster space and no other team is going to take our long/huge contracts this summer.

simple answer to OP - NO UFA or RFA targets, we are about reducing salary if "reasonably" possible

I believe that a trade is likely once FA starts.
