I'm assuming that the Allocation money will be used to pay down the salary of Silvestre.

I love EA but he seemed like the odd man out in this now crowded midfield.

with Diego Valeri taking up a CAM spot. and Kalif seems to be moved centrally as a deep lying playmaker and Wallace being used more in CM spot last year.. There wasnt room for EA.

I just hope Silvestre's body can hold up. Cause we are already thin on the back line.

Good move IMO. Alexander never showed me anything other than bad passes.

EA was the odd man out. I wonder if they were clearing cap space to add a more impactful player to the backline, or if they thought a cheaper player like Nanchoff was just as good as him. I'm guessing that Nanchoff is still a Generation Addidas player so his salary doesn't count against the cap.

Sylvestre is trialing with Seattle now. They'll sign him, he'll have a great year, play 'til he's 40, and then he'll retire to France smelling like fish.

That new trialist (Deon McAaulay) from Belize looks interesting:

He seems like the type of forward Caleb Porter described when he compared what he likes to see from his forward to Kris Boyd:

He's scored a bucket full of goalls against some of the minnows of CONCACAF during WCQ.

Love Songo'o. I think letting him go is a mistake. It's all about money though.

I think its more THAN about the money with him. His style was hold the ball up, make flashy moves, and ultimately get little to no results. Basically a more expensive Kalif. in Porter's system there is a high pressing style of play also, and Songo'o plays little to no defense.

Utlimately though at what point is it on Franck?

    The dude has played for

    Barcelona C
    Portsmouth
    Bournemouth
    Preston North End
    Crystal Palace
    Sheffield Wednesday
    Zaragoza
    Real Sociedad
    Albacete
    Timbers

Thats all since 2005... 10 Clubs in 8 years??? Thats a lot of clubs to get something wrong.

yeah I got more than I bargained for on that lol.

In fairness Bournemouth through Sheffield Wednesday were all loan spells while owned by Portsmouth... so not sure if those were just trying to get him some experience and then called back or not.

But he does seem to have trouble staying on for that 2nd year.
