Right now the longest winning streak in the NBA belongs to the Lakers (7 games), the next is six games (Boston & Clevelend) and then the Blazers (4 games). Sure would like to make it five games tomorrow. Gramps...
Technically you are correct. However, I decided to go only by the number of games in the streak (seven games, six games and then four games) and not the number of teams; hence by that definition it is the third longest win streak. Gramps...
How's this for fun? Only 7 teams in the league have better records than us. Not bad after a 1-3 start.
I would be really happy if Portland swept this road trip. I know its a reach, with the N.O. game tonight, but if Portland can pull it off, that would mean that they would come out of this hellish opening schedule with an 8 and 3 record, and a homestand coming up with a win streak rolling. Now that being said, it would lay the foundation for a serious winning streak.
