The Toronto Blue Jays were certainly busy at baseball's trade deadline. They made a series of moves to bolster their pitching staff, acquiring three pitchers from three different teams.

Toronto acquired starter Francisco Liriano and minor league outfielder Harold Ramirez from the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Jays will send minor league pitcherDrew Hutchison to the Pirates as part of the deal.

The left-handed Liriano, 32, is 6-11 with a 5.46 ERA in 21 starts with Pittsburgh this year.
