I don't think Dorsey will be anything. Brooks might be a decent bench guy.... but that's it. They're second rounders at best.
Dorsey can't hit anything constantly unless it's a 3 and when he drives the lane he usually falls down. Dude can hit some amazing shots though. I think Brooks might make a good bench player but it depends on what position he sticks at. Bell has the best chance of being an NBA player and would love if the Blazers used a late pick come in. Now lets wait for those Gonzaga fan boys to come in here and wax about their players and cream their jeans!
Sounds like a Beaver fan. More significant is who fills the roster spots this opens up. Dice star recruit Brandon McCoy was said to be waiting for this to occur. Would be a major deal if he committed to UO.
The exodus begins. Would be fantastic if Brandon McCoy chooses Oregon because of the roster spots opening up.
What the fuck does "wax about their players" mean? So many posters on here have been saying we need to reach for Brooks, Bell, or Boucher with our CLE pick, when all of them are about to go in the second round. Oregon fans are way more biased towards their players and clamor way more for us to draft Ducks than me or @MickZagger are towards Gonzaga prospects. I wouldn't draft Karnowski with any pick, but if he were a Duck you guys would likely say we need to draft him with the CLE pick as well, saying he could be a prime Chris Kaman... Collins is a good player. I think he'd be a good pick at 16, but that's because of the player he is, not because of bias. The consensus is he'd be great value at 16 because most mock drafts have him drafted before then. Meanwhile, any Duck would be bad value in the first round, as most mock drafts have them going in the 2nd. I find that last sentence so extremely ironic. "Let's draft the undersized, offensively challenged PF with a 1st round pick... Now let's wait for Gonzaga fans to "wax" about their PF, who's 7'0 and an all-around skilled big likely to go in the lottery." The bias is with the Duck faction, not us.
I'm not sure it will lead to McCoy picking Oregon. Brooks and Dorsey are wings, McCoy's a center. Them leaving doesn't open anything up for them, if anything it hurts his chances of going to Oregon because they won't be as good as they otherwise might have been.
I thought they were waiting for a scholarship to open up for him. I agree, it doesn't help overall. Nothing lasts forever.
McCoy is playing both sides I think.... Dude says he'd announce from today within two weeks. And Altman is lining up every possible transfer or potential recruit possible. I'm sure they'd like to have him though.
