Kinda feel bad for skipping out on the Padres series thread, but we're back at it with the Cubs rematch. 5/21: Morton (3-1, 3.52) vs Assad (4-0, 1.49) 5/22: Fried (3-2, 3.81) vs Steele (0-1, 5.21) 5/23: TBD vs Hendricks (0-4, 10.57) Tough to know who's gonna get that Thursday start, given that Lopez and Sale pitched Monday, and Elder has been sent back to AAA. However, they've recalled Darius Vines (0-1, 4.66), so I'm gonna guess they'll slide him into that fifth starter role for the time being.
'Bout time they had themselves a good game. Production all up and down the lineup, and another strong outing from Max.
AJ Smith-Shawver set to start tomorrow. His first appearance of the season, and just the 7th of his major league career. Not expecting a great outing, but would be nice to see good control.
