Sale, Lopez, Fried and Morton have all been solid, but despite a brief flash of competence from Elder, they haven't been able to find anyone to capably fill in for Strider. I'm thinking that unless they make a deal for a viable option, this is going to be an issue the rest of the season, and have a serious impact on the record and eventual playoff position.
Looks like Vines absolutely failed his audition yesterday. Already sent back to Gwinnett. Smith-Shawver seemed great Thursday, but I'm not buying stock in him yet.
Shawver hurt, am wondering if they call up Waldrep and throw him to the wolves? At this point, with Acuna going down, I say give it a shot, instead of some big splash. Probably need an OF trade at this point. Can't see Kelenic and Duvall as everyday in left and right.
