The CABMMA originally weren't going to overturn the decision since the letter of the law was such that the referee could only have mistaken/misapplied the rules for the bout to be overturned; a referee's decision to stop a fight was not reversible. Looks like common sense won out. Leandro Silva had Drew Dober in an imperfect guillotine choke in their bout at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. LaFlare last week. Silva began gesticulating to the referee to stop the fight, indicating Dober was unconscious/submitting, except he wasn't. After the fight Silva's team celebrated and justified the stoppage, drawing the ire of MMA fans for doing so.
The gall of this man! Leo Silva is upset with the decision, saying he knows Dober went limp and was out, and that him telling the referee "tap!" was instinctive and not a ploy. http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/3/2...-agree-with-cabmma-s-decision-to-overturn-his
