Remember how much the Right loves to stroll about the military at every chance to glorify them? And how any criticism of the military meant you hated the troops/America? What happened to conservatives? They've sold their souls.
Not sure I'm happy that the conservatives behind the Lincoln Project are being accepted into the Democratic party.. but I'm not a member of the Democratic party anyways so I guess I shouldn't care too much.
I think the people behind the LP are pretty much just petty cry babies who are upset that Trump didn't let them into his party. I just enjoy that they're doing some pretty good smears against the Orange Buffoon.
I do hope ads like this convince some Republicans of something. I just fear we're past the point where they care anymore, even about war heroes.
They've, for the most part, sold their souls. They are hopefully going to die off with their generation, and the younger people will wake up and realize that the people in charge right now are in it to make money for themselves. And the people who are following this shit, are still convinced that this is all "gods plans". And then you have the few who claim they're moral people but are acting like they are perfectly fine with an immoral person like DJT, because they get a chance to "own the libs". Those people are the biggest losers of the bunch too.
I had an uncle in the Bataan Death March. He wouldn't allow rice in the house and slept with a loaded pistol under his pillow.
Trump declared himself a "wartime president". I guess this video illustrates brilliantly his Laissez-faire attitude at American deaths. I used the term Laissez-faire because it is french, thus associated with surrender during war, something Trump clearly has done with this war.
Sorry, but FDR did not “start” the war. He simply responded to Japanese aggression (with the full support of the American people). Germany then declared was on America, not the other way around. Had you been alive then, what would your feelings have been in that instance? Would you have advocated speaking Japanese and/or German? And the country (especially the “patriots”) had absolutely NO problem invading Iraq despite them having NO involvement in 9/11.....and the “evidence” for war being completely made up out of whole cloth. It takes an entire congress (theoretically) to go to war, not just the Democratic side of it. Just sayin’.............
I'm just happy that Trump is making great efforts to bring our guys home, while also eliminating the guys who enjoy turning our troops into prisoners and/or corpses.
They mentioned Afghanistan. But regardless of who started the wars, what does that have to do with Trump saying he didn't consider POW's heroes? Try to stay on target there.
Trump does have odd ways of saying things sometimes. I think what he was implying was that he likes (would rather see) war heroes that weren't sent to these places to BE captured/maimed/murdered. One of the reasons, I believe, he's taking strong efforts to get our guys out of harm's way and back HOME where they belong.
No, he wasn’t. One of many stupid off the cuff comments from the orange person. Doesn’t change the fact that that video becomes sort of ridiculous when viewed under the context of how these wars started in the first place.
Well, not really, since no one talked about how the wars were started, but that how he was treating a POW. How the wars started (or who started them) had zero bearing on the content of the video, nor doe sit play any role in how one should interpret them. Now, had they said "trump and republicans started all these wars" you might have a point worth fighting for. but now you just come off as someone who refuses to admit they tried to bring up something that really doesn't have anything to do with the thread NOR has anything to do with the content in the video.
