So long story short today my somewhat nice video card crapped out on me. In my desperate search to figure something out I stumbled upon this thread: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1421792 Basically it says to put your striped down graphics card in the oven for about 8.5 minutes at 385 degrees to fix it! AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!!! The idea behind it is you liquify and reharden all the soldier points which fixes the microfratures that occur over time from heating and cooling. My video card preped for the oven...hahaha
Day 2 and video card still kicking ass... I read on the link I posted that it usually lasts for 3-6 months BUT you can just repeat the process...one guy said he baked his card back to life 3 times over already PS...HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wow. I'd never heard this before. That is awesome. I think my mom's video card is going out on her, I may be doing some baking soon!
