I can't remember who tweeted it but I read a rumor yesterday that if Belichick wins it all this season he'll step down from coaching, be the GM only and turn the team over to Chip.

Seems like a fantasy scenario for Chip but it's similar to how he walked into an established program with the Ducks instead of having to build a crap program.

He'd not be a good fit with a Browns. Not as much talent on that team. I'd say if Chip leaves, he go to the Eagles, Bears, or Chargers.

The other teams he wont get much control in. Rumors are he wants to build the team his way, which would mean control. Browns might be willing to offer that.

I wonder if getting roflstomped in the NFL will diminish his ego a bit?

everyone has expected NFL teams to come after him this offseason for some time now. Thats a good thing as it reflects how things are going at UO. Not being tied up longterm, it would be unprofessional for Kelly not to take an NFL team's overtures seriously and we've no reason to suspect otherwise. Dude's got a pretty sweet gig going though... I'd be pretty surprised if he'd leave for Cleveland

If nick foles turns out to be good then chip kelley on the eagles could be dangerous. Lot of talent on that eagles team.

The Bills have been rumored to want Vick for awhile....Could the Chipster be what the doctor ordered to make Vick an All-Pro one last time?

Why don't the Ducks just give him a raise? The football team brings in so money, they can afford it! The top paid college coach gets paid 5 mil a year, which is what a good NFL coach makes. Just give Kelly 1.5 mil more per year would bring him up to that.

But if he does leave, sorry, I hope he fails. Reason being, if he succeeds,NFL teams may come after his replacement. We've not really seen the overall qualities of Kelly, we only know him for masterminding this fast paced offense, something that will fail in the NFL unless the team has dominant athletes.

Oregon wins because it has superior athletes, the crappy NFL team Chip takes over won't. Not saying are winning has nothing to do with Chip, I think he's a great match to our program and the players seem to like him.

I'll be surprised and disappointed if Chip leaves Oregon for Cleveland. I can completely understand his desire to try and make the NFL jump, but the BROWNS? That franchise is a hot mess.
