Reported that NY wants Girgensons in any deal. That's the guy I'd want there. He's blocked to a 3rd line center. Also, it will then allow them to move Stepan. I'd take Kane back to make it happen.

    Perhaps

Kane, Girgensons for Nash and Glass. Two people neither team wants to complement the deal.

Then move Stepan. Perhaps go after Trouba.

I think this rumor has serious legs. It makes a lot of sense. They have 12 million in cap. Girgensons is a RFA and not happy to be a third line center. They want to dump Kane at 6 million with 2 years on his contract. It's almost as if they are perfect trading partners.

Or Girgensons and Franson perhaps for Nash and McIlrath. Then hopefully Girardi or Staal get moved. They shouldn't have any problem eating 2m for the next 2y to move Nash.

Get over your fascination with trading McIlrath. He's going nowhere. He's young, good, right handed and not a pussy. Everything our sad D lacks. Franson is a pile of shit. He's terrible.

Let me tell you something about AV. If the Rangers stink this year, he's getting canned IMO. He'll go before McIlrath does. As dumb as Gorton is. I don't think he's going to be a fan of a coach who is making him look like an asshole in his first years as a GM of this team. He makes himself look like enough of an asshole. He doesn't need any help.

Who cares about AV. He'll be gone by january anyway. Beuk is not going to let him badmouth dylan like ballesss ulfie did.

With all the trouble Kane has been in lately I don't think the Rangers have to go crazy to land him. I agree about AV being on thin ice, the team has taken a step backwards with each year he's been here.

Hey if we can get a talent (and a bit of an idiot)like Kane at bargain levels that's exactly the type of young talent needed in the mix.

I'm sure the Rangers don't want Kane. However, if they want Girgensons in the deal, Buff will probably make them eat the Kane contract to even the money out.

Apparently the deal involves Ennis and Franson but the Rangers want Buff to take full salary. Horrible. Stick with Nash if this dosent involve Girgensons or Kane.

I can't see any way they take Franson unless they will then buy out Girardi. The money of those 2 players would equal Nash. Plus, neither of those two fits this team. There is no room on defense and nobody seems to want Staal and Girardi. There is no room up front.

I did a twitter search on Nash and it came up about a half hour ago.

I don't see that. Makes no sense for the Rangers. I can't see them having any interest in either of those players.

Its a tricky situation since we want to clear salary but also get value back. Franson+Ennis=Nash salary. And they don't give them anything for the future. Id at least ask for a 1st plus a top 5 prospect if you take 4m back.

I could not see 2 players of less interest to the Rangers than Ennis and Franson.

Yeah i know. Geez at least back some future prospects. They're looking to pull the wool over Gortons eyes. May as well just keep Nash and play out the year if you dont get a decent return.

Now I'm hearing Kane retained and Franson. Still don't like this deal. Agree, that I'd rather hold onto him. That deal even with retention will barely save any money.
