You don't see a chance to win against the Hawks? Perhaps a 2-8 start.

Takeaways from the Chicago Bulls' schedule release

The dog days of the NBA off-season are upon us. Almost all the marquee free agents have decided on the team they’re going to play with for the upcoming season, Summer league has concluded, and nearly all the big trades that are going to happen have happened. All we are left with are rumors of trades that might not pan out (see: Kyrie Irving and Carmelo Anthony) and training camp.

Because of this, NBA nerds like myself get excited about something as simple as the annual NBA schedule release. It’s quite sad when it gets to the point in the off-season where schedule releases become a talking point. However, when looking at the Chicago Bulls’ 2017-18 schedule, two things stuck out (besides the fact that the Bulls won’t be playing on Christmas Day for the first time since 2009).

The NBA believes the Chicago Bulls will not only be bad, but they will be uninteresting
