Wow, just came home to see we're down by 17. We could have a 4th straight blowout on our hands! A deal needs to be done.
The first deal that's gonna get done is me getting another bottle. My buzz is wearing off and this game is too much to endure sober.
Turnover, after turnover, after turnover. I like it when Rose has the ball in his hands, it's definitely better than the John Salmons stints.
No ones rotating. Taj looks lost. Deng with no help D. Rose not closing in on cuts. Noah thinking pure hustle = great D. Sounds about right.
Noah is better, but teams are noticing that he can still be muscled around. That's really been obvious on this trip out west. The better inside scorers are pretty routinely getting position and getting easy baskets. And Taj weighs 30lbs.
Another noticeable thing to me is just how quick and in wonderful shape Milsap and Boozer are for guys that weigh 250+ lbs. Also, AK-47's hair looks like mine when I wake up in the morning. but worse.
lol, that was painful. I wanna know how Gray was so sick he had to be hospitalized and yet he still looks fat.
I sat through the game. My takeaway is that Deng and Noah are the only guys who either seem to care enough, or are angry enough to try and take it to another gear. Rose doesn't look good and/or special right now. He looks to me like his ankle is going to be one of those nagging injuries that holds him back for the whole season. Nobody left on the bench is bringing anything right now, and that was especially evident with Hinrich out. If he is out for a prolonged period the bulls are sunk. The bulls did a better job in the second half going to the rim, but that left them gassed and out of position on defense, especially Deng. That can't be the tradeoff because it gets them nowhere.
The GM has put together a losing roster. It's almost like we're back to year 1 of Pax and rebuilding. We're supposed to play hard even though we don't have the talent to compete with most teams. I think Vinnie's job is on the line at this point. Blowouts weren't tolerated from coaches all along, and there's never been any real solid support of Vinnie in the organization, IMO. When he coached his style last season, we won 41 without Deng and the team was at least fun to watch.
Was last year Vinnie's style or this year? I can't tell, but I have a hard time blaming him much for a team I don't think anyone could win a lot with.
