A good laugh for a Wednesday morning!! http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14219469/jimmy-butler-chicago-bulls-plans-ask-mason-plumlee-portland-trail-blazers-pay-fine-technical-foul
I'm extremely happy we have a center like Plumlee who will dish a little pain. I'm tired of the Blazers only being on the receiving end.
What a fucking joke. He kicks and trips him and head butts him, then asks the receiving player to pay?
It's too bad because Butler used to be one of my favorite non-Blazers but it's things like this that make me not want to root for a guy. What Butler fails to understand is that although Plumlee's actions were over aggressive and his flagrant foul was warranted (which I loved btw) the reason Butler got a technical is because he couldn't keep his cool. That's the kind of play that can injure a player. Would Butler have paid the medical bills if Plumlee had gotten hurt? No. So open you wallet and pay the penalty for your fuck up.
If Butler had criticized the referees after the game, he'd be fined. He found an indirect way to complain. Why isn't the league fining him for this?
I watched that play but had it on mute while they sorting things out. Why the fuck did Chicago get two technical shots (plus the ball ) to our 1 technical shot. I never heard the explanation. Never mind I just saw the article.
"He cost me $2,500," Butler said. "I'm not happy about that. I'm going to ask him to pay me back -- and I'm not playing."
I think he was joking. The $2500 is peanuts since he's making MAX money. It's obvious he deserved the technical foul and fine that goes with it.
They called Butler with a technical foul and Plumdog with a flagrant. How Butler's trip was not flagrant is beyond me.
Im still scratching my head about that. If Plumlee was a flagrant instead of a tech then Butlers head butt should have gotten him thrown out.
