Not to shame him for being heavy, but... man, he's heavy! He worked so hard to succeed and get where he did, and now... this. https://www.wane.com/news/crime/swanigan-pleads-guilty-to-marijuana-possession/ I hope he is ok, legally and health-wise.
He worked SO HARD... genetics are a tough thing. There's some interesting stuff about his weight from early 2017: https://www.espn.com/mens-college-b...-obesity-homelessness-become-big-nba-prospect Caleb's father, who stood 6-foot-8, weighed nearly 500 pounds when he died three years ago, at the age of 50, of complications related to diabetes. ... By the summer before eighth grade, [Caleb] had entered a dangerous zone at 6-foot-2 and nearly 400 pounds.
I think it's safe to say Biggie is not really a gym rat...that young man is all appetite! I hope he turns it around but he's headed in the wrong direction
Even as a rookie in Summer league, he just looked soooooooooo slooooooooow. Just completely unathletic.
Sad indeed. So young and to have a shot in the NBA, and now nothing. Going to be a long road ahead for him (or short road if he doesnt sort himself out)
I think of how Duckworth struggled with weight, how much worse it got after his playing days, and how he spiraled into depression and literally ate himself to death.
The thread isn't going to address his horrible crime of marijuana possession. Good thing the legal system's bloodthirsty hounds will take care of this evil criminal.
Damn. Once you put on a bunch of weight, it's really a bitch to keep it off. Pretty much forever. The first trillion-dollar pharmaceutical company will be the one that solves this problem.
That is too game shape. Just not sure if the hoop is large enough. Round is a shape and roundball is a game. But who is gonna dunk him?
Let's hope he at least had someone help him invest some of his money somewhere. Dude made $5,239,080 - even with crazy taxes, hopefully some of that will be there for him down the line.
It would be nice if somebody from the Blazers was reaching out to him. Can Mark Cuban take care of him as well as Delonte West?
He has a guy in his hometown who motivated him to get it together before...one guy I think basically raised him as a young teen.....I believe he has options but why should the Blazers intervene for someone busted with pot who's become obese? He's not doing what Delonte West did...he drives a car...has money. Maybe the players association could reach out to him but they'd have to have a better reason than obesity and pot. I assume he suffers depression but I really don't know this. He could also just be lazy.
