http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...ended-80-games-violating-joint-drug-agreement wow...im very disappointed as he was one of my favorite players
Just merged the threads. Al and I thought alike. Yes, sad that this will be a black mark on his career.
Sympathy is between shit and syphilis in the dictionary. He stated he was "disrespected" in New York. Guess what Cano, you just disrespected a game that allowed you fame and fortune. Suck it up, it's the bottom of the 9th.
Irony abounds with this old Post from 016- (no, Ricks not back) http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/robinson-cano.298270/
Nothing surprises me anymore...I get disappointed every now and then but I seldom get surprised...if Cano had not been so fucking gready he could have retired as the greatest Yankee 2Bman ever, had a plaque in Monument Park, and been inducted into the HOF on the first ballot...that ship has now passed. ...I was flabbergasted when he signed with Seattle...he decided to go to a smaller market in a pitcher-friendly park, all in the name of money...I don't feel sorry for him one bit. ...EVERY player and their agent is given a full list of drugs/medications/masking agents that are not allowed and sorry but his stilted lame-assed explanation does not hold water. ...fuck him, and those like him, and the horse he rode in on.
^^^^ You speak for all of us, I do believe, well stated, FK Cano, he could of been a HOF'r imo, if he'd of stayed put & not played with Vitamin-S. But then we'd not have Gleyber, and I'd much rather watch Torres. Cano wasn't this good as a rookie...imo...~!~
rick, you mean: P-Rick... some troll on our boards called him that once, once, and Rick lit up like the Xmas tree in Rockefeller Center, more like the Statue of Liberty Roman candle show on the 4th of July...
Plan and simply the only reason he wou The only reason he would take this would be as a masking agent. High blood pressure my ass. Not to mention you have the best doctors in the world here and you're getting this in the Dominican Republic? It's a shame but this puts a mark on him forever.
Hell....The NFL considers that first offense or a few games suspended. 80 games is ridiculous, even for Cano.
Cano is 35 years old, gets suspended 80 games, ineligible for the playoffs if Seattle makes, and has 5 years remaining on his contract. Damn what a futures for the Mariners with that guy.
...Cano, like all MLB players along with the MLBPA/CBA were well aware of the penalties and were made aware of what was allowed and what was not. His excuse holds no water and makes him look even worse in trying to do so. ...this is also part of the reason I have no sympathy for Pete Rose...EVERY MLB clubhouse has a notice reminding players of the penalty for betting on baseball games...Rose knew that but instead, decided to do it anyway...and so, IMO, he should be inducted into the HOF only posthumously...that should be his penalty. ...just my 2 cents.
