Canton Finishes Road Trip with Victory in Iowa

    The Canton Charge (17-13), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Iowa Energy (13-16), 102-91, on Saturday night in Des Moines. The victory was Canton's fifth-straight and also gives them 12 wins in their last 14 games, including 10 of 11 on the road.

    Quinn Cook led the Charge with 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting, 13 rebounds, and eight assists in 44 minutes. Juvonte Reddic scored 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting off the bench. John Holland and Sir'Dominic Pointer each contributed 11 points and four rebounds.

    Trailing 57-48 at the half, Canton scored 31 points on 13-of-23 shooting in the third (57%) to pull within 80-79 heading into the fourth. Cook scored 15 points, hitting 7-of-9 shots, and grabbed five boards in the third.

    Canton began the fourth on a 15-5 run to pull ahead for their largest lead of the game to that point at 94-85. The Charge would lead the rest of the way and by as many as 11 after holding Iowa to 11 points on 4-of-19 shooting (21%) and forcing five turnovers for five points in the fourth quarter.

    The Energy's Alex Stepheson posted a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds to lead all five starters in double figures. Joel Wright scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds in 32 minutes, while Terry Whisnant added 14 points. The Charge bench outscored the Energy reserves 44-18 in the game.
