I think its time to give him that title behind Kobe. For those that missed the Lakers-Nuggets game tonight. Carmelo hit the game winning shot AGAIN.Melo is the hands the most clutch player <u>this season</u>Here are the leaders for game winning shots in there career in terms of percentageThis is NOT counting tonights game. Those numbers are amazingAnthony in his two-plus NBA seasons has made 10 out of 16 game-winning or game-tying shots in the final 24 seconds of a game. His .625 shooting percentage with the game on the line is more than twice the league average of .294.62% in the clutch is pretty amazing. Can we give him his title now?
Melo showed me signs of maturity tonight, but his shot selection is still not the greatest.Early on in the season he held the ball alot longer when he recieved a pass and tried to hit a "Kobe" shot. He did that a little tonight, but he showed improvement. He got the ball and quickly made a move, which is good instead of trying to hit a "Kobe" shot. Yeah 2nd behind Kobe sounds right
that 7-28 is only within the last 24 seconds of a game.Kobe hits major shots the entire fourth quarter and into the final minutes. That stat is misleading because Kobe is the most cluch player in the league.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Well let's see Kobe has 3 rings.Everyone else on that list has..... drum roll please.....0!!!</div>That doesn't mean he is the most clutch player in the league. It means he was on the best team in the league.

Had the nuggets lost he would've got all the blame.
The difference between Kobe and Carmelo? In 0T, Carmelo's guarded by Deavon George, Kobe's double teamed 40 feet away from the basket.
This isn't about Kobe or Melo. We all know Kobe is much more clutch.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Tonight Carmelo had 0 points in the 4th. No, he isn't much more clutch than Melo. Kobe takes rdidiculous shots at ends of games, and ignores his teammates.I say Kobe is most clutch for what he did in the LA 3 peat, but since that he has done jack sh*t.
Lebron has had games where he hasn't even scored 5 points. That doesn't make him suck. And yes, Melo is clutchest at the end.

I mean he's just carried a lottery team into the 7th seed right now. Yeah that's jack <Censored>.What an ignorant statement.

His % is pretty crappy, and he attempts some of the worst shots in basketball at end of games.I agree nba dogmatist, for total 4th, I'd take Kobe, Pierce, and Wade.

They call Kobe the Closer for a reason. When it comes to the 4th quarter, he hits clutch shots through out it.
I know. And I recognized Kobe as most clutch twice so far. But his decision making in final minute is terrible. As nba dogmatist said, in final seconds I's take Melo, Pierce, Iverson, and Wade. In final quarter, I'd take Kobe, Wade, and Pierce.

Yeah, there's people open, but would you pass to Luke Walton for a 3? Another thing, the Lakers have a hard time setting up Kobe. Other team get their best player open to recieve a pass in the final seconds of a game. I'm sure Phil is drawing up goo dplays, but if you have a guy like Walton throwing it in, it's not good. Like last night, on that final play he could of hit Kobe with a pass twice. But he decided not to go to Kobe and go to Kwame.
I watch as many Laker games as possible. Tere are 3 games that come to mind in which Kobe left open odom and Smush, and shot a fadeaway 30 footer to end game. The Philly game at beginning of year, Nets game a 3 weeks back, and the one against Cavs which was game after Nets game. Bottom line is those players are open and he ignores them.
Well you saw Odom down the stretch last night (if you watched) he was terrible. The charge he tried to get late adn the lay up he missed.Like I've said before Parker's jumper is inconsistent, even when he's WIDE OPEN. Again last night he was wide open, no one coming towards him, he air balled it.Kobe doesn't have enough confidence in these guys yet. I wouldn't either. When they start hitting more shots during the game, Kobe will get them the ball.
