For the few of us here that care, who you got? Barcelona is my team, so of course I'll be pulling for them. The match up against Arsenal should be good. I'll be looking forward to a team playing an open game against Barca for once. If Arsenal wins, playing the way they always do, I'll tip my hat to them. I'd probably be rooting for them if they were playing anyone else. I'll be rooting for Tottenham. I've only seen a few games (including both against Inter in the group stage) and man did Bale impress. Hopefully they do well and stay in the top 4 in the league so they can come back next year. I'll root for Velencia too, just to quiet down the EPL fans who claim La Liga is horrible outside of the top 2. Other than that, I'll be pretty neutral. As long as the games are good, I don't care. Part of me will be rooting for all the underdogs, but another part wants all the big boys to make it through (so Barca can beat the best!). Oh, I appreciate that all the games are aired on one of the Fox stations, but how many people have FSC HD? Maybe it's just me, but in NY I couldn't get it and I can't get it in San Diego either. Why do they show crap on the Wednesday match day on Fox Sports (I think we get Lakers replays) instead of CL. Anyways, back to the original question, who you got?
No Bale for the Sp*rs today but Van der Vaart is playing. No score yet. Obviously I'm hoping Milan can take this series. Can't wait for Barca/Arsenal tomorrow. Should be classic attacking football. Having RVP back in the lineup should make it a very different series from last season. Nasri is expected to suit up tomorrow as well which is a major bonus for the Gunners. Donetsk/Roma should be competitive. Interesting pairing. Rooting for upsets with Kobenhavn, Lyon, Schalke, Marseilles, and Bayern.
Wow, that would of been an incredible goal, but correct call by the ref. Gattuso needs to be banned for a couple of games -- What a fucking idiot.
Yeah, he probably should be banned for a while. I really want to see what happens if he ever gets into it with Danny Alves. I don't know which looks more crazed when angry. I always think Alves is going to pull out a shank and stab someone. i just booked tickets to Spain for the end of April. If Barca gets past Arsenal and IF they win their quarterfinal stage and IF they play at home for the first leg of the semi's I'll be there! I don't care how much the tickets are.
On Tuesdays one game is live on Fox Sports (NW for you) and one is live on Fox Soccer channel. I think the game that is on FSNW will be replayed on FSC after that game. On Wednesdays, I think all games are on FSC, one live, one delayed.
That was probably the best I've seen against Barca in a long time. Good game all around. Arsenal deserved it.
Not a bad game to return to vacation from Sorry Porkchop for you since you are classy. But I very much approve of the 2nd half especially that Arsenal played.
I'm still confident we'll get through, but it won't be a walk in the park for sure. I only half caught the replay, but did you see the disallowed goal by Messi? Watching live, I though Pedro was off for sure, but the call was on Messi and I thought he was onside the whole time. It was a tight call either way so I won't claim we were robbed or anything. I just didn't see him being off.
yeah you guys are by no means out of it, but that final goal was HUGE for our chances. I actually wasnt able to see the disallowed goal unfortunately as the Mrs. is ill and I was tending to getting her soup lol.
for reals man.. I was hoping another GLOBAL mod would have helped while I was gone.. but nooooooooooo
