It's halftime and Boston is down 58-61! Boston Rondo has been great again 15 pts on 5-10 FGs, 5-8 FTs, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals. Allen still hasn't found his range.. 1/4 with 2 points. Pierce has had a better start with 10 points on 4-6 shooting. I think he should be getting the ball more! Chicago Ben Gordon is burning us with 17 first half points on 5-12 FGs and 6-7 FTs. Rose hasn't dominated us.. hope this lasts! Team Stats We are being owned with blocks, Tyrus Thomas already has 4 and the Bulls have 9 to Boston's 2. We are doing well rebounding: we lead 26-20 TOs is pretty much even at 8 for Boston and 5 for Chicago. We are shooting a bit better at 52% compared to their 49% Horrible discrepancy in FTs: Chicago has taken 24 and made 21 while Boston has taken 13 and just made 7!!! Despite this huge difference, we are just down 3.. I look for Boston to come out more careful with fouls in the 2nd half.. Chicago's bigs usually try to go for the blocks so it probably won't be that difficult to draw shooting fouls from them. So, I hope Boston can adjust to that. Allen needs to find his range, now! Pierce and Rondo need to just keep it up this 2nd half and keep Derrick Rose contained. All in all, I'm pretty optimistic about Boston's chances to win this game. Just be careful with those fouls guys!
Great game! Cs are still in trouble though. I think that was as good as they could play tonight and it still took a last second jumper to win. Look for Chicago to rebound better in Chi Town, and look for Rose to bounce back. Powe being out doesn't help matters any and Rondo's game doesn't travel well on the road. Gordon and Shuttlesworth were goin at it 2nite.....
Pretty much. Everyone that should have performed well did, Rondo had a triple double, Davis had 26, we fucked them on the glass, yet it still takes the last second shot to win.
Boston made a point of shutting down Rose early, but they still only won by a shot at the buzzer. Powe's out now, Rondo's shaky...... Thursday's game is going to be interesting.
Sure, if you totally ignore the terrible defense they played, then you're on to something. You also neglect to mention Chicago playing over their heads for the second straight game, especially Gordon's game which is unlikely to be duplicated.
