The 2018-19 campaign marks Chicago’s 53rd season of Bulls basketball. The Bulls possess an Opening Night record of 29-23 (.558), and a 12-13 (.480) mark when opening the year on the road. Twice on Opening Night, the Bulls have scored 124 points (at Charlotte, Nov. 5, 1993, 124-123 in OT; vs. Cleveland, Nov. 3, 1989, 124-119 in OT); the highest point total on opening night in team history. Chicago’s lowest offensive output for an opening night is 73 points (vs. Indiana, Oct. 31, 2001, 98-73). Michael Jordan scored 54 points vs. Cleveland on Nov. 3, 1989. Jordan’s 54 points are the most in a season opener in league history. The top five Opening-Night scoring performances in team history are: Michael Jordan, 54 points vs. Cleveland on Nov. 3, 1989; Michael Jordan, 50 points at New York on Nov. 1, 1986; Michael Jordan, 42 points vs. Charlotte on Nov. 3, 1995; Michael Jordan, 36 points vs. Philadelphia on Nov. 7, 1987; Guy Rodgers, 36 points at St. Louis on Oct. 15, 1966 (first game in franchise history). The Bulls have played eight overtime games (6-2) on Opening Night.
Glad to see your game threads once more. I will defer back to you. You do such an outstanding job on it anyway.
I was very excited to having a Bulls game that counts, but with Dunn out and Payne in it has tampered down a lot. Especially with Ryan Arcidiacono as his back up. Dont get me wrong I thought Ryan could give us what Payne did as a backup until the last exhibition game when Cameron was agressive on offense. The real drop off is between Dunn and Payne
