I loved watching him shut down Fournier. He got into his head to a ridiculous degree. I saw a couple of blown layups by Fournier towards the end that he missed, because he adjusted his moves, anticipating CJ swiping at it. It was CJ's best defensive performance: something to build on.
And then Fournier forced a couple bad shots out of frustration, which pissed Vucevic off and then he forced a bad shot!
This season has been typically frustrating, but it's the offense causing us trouble. The overall team defense is cleary improved. The problem now are these 3-5 stretches EVERY DAMN GAME where we fail to make a single shot.
Not every game. But there have been three games (Toronto, Brooklyn, and tonight) where it happened and it was tough to deal with. Luckily, we won tonight.
We talked bad about NBA officials but that was an excellent call. And as a matter of fact that officials did a great job last night. I didn't hear anybody complaining because we won.
I'm not really sure why people like this post. Dame has always given effort on defense. He just has not been good at it.
Our D rating is 3rd best in the league after 14 games behind only BOS and OKC. That can't be sustainable, but has been fun to see.
No he has not. He's actually been on lists of thecworst defenders in the league. Defense is mostly effort. That's why people like the post. They aren't apologists for Dame and CJ
... did they win? dviss said no one complained because they won, which would take the losing team out of that. They did complain, I'm just making sure you read the entire post.
