Los Angeles Clippers ownership, management and players descended upon Houston on Wednesday and secured a commitment from free-agent center DeAndre Jordan to re-sign with the Clippers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Jordan has changed course on an agreement to sign a four-year, $80 million-plus deal with the Dallas Mavericks, a commitment that Jordan began to waver on in recent days, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Clippers coach and president Doc Rivers and owner Steve Ballmer won't leave the house, awaiting 12:01 a.m. ET time when they can sign him to a five-year contract worth more than $110 million, league sources said. The Mavericks have been unable to contact Jordan throughout the afternoon and evening on Wednesday and have abandoned pursuit of Jordan and turned to alternative options with the $20 million-plus it has in salary-cap space, league sources told Yahoo.
