Good God. At least there is definitive proof that Blaze isn't the worst nba mascot. That color scheme is horrendous.

Should be popular with all their season ticket holders who are 6 years old.

What is the point of mascots? Do they sell mascot themed merchandise that I just happen to have never seen?

My son is neither here nor there with Blaze. Doesn't care if we have him or not. He's a pretty mature 9 year old.

You know, it's decisions like this that make me believe that sometimes having an owner who is emotional/excitable/heavily involved is a bad thing.

Their uniform change was a miss, this mascot is a huge miss. If it weren't for the fact the Clippers have a decent record over the last few years, and the Lakers are no longer trying, the Clippers would still be a joke.

I don't know how this isn't considered a huge marketing failure. It's the NBA's version of the gobbledy gooker

That thing looks like it is the star of the next Disney Pixar movie, not a mascot

Yeah the decisions are so terrible I almost think he's trying to build interest in changing the name.

Here was my guess before I looked at the first post in the thread:

    O.J.Simpson in a sailboat.

The mascot is a "condor", right? I understand the jist of it, California Condor...but it makes less sense than "Blaze The Trail Cat". If he's doing it to plant the seed of a name change (the name makes more sense when they were the San Diego Clippers), I'm not sure that the Los Angeles Condors is a good choice.

I'm not sure what IS a good choice. I like the name Conquistadors, but that was originally a San Diego team name, iirc.

But if they DO go with Conquistadors, do they say "con kee sta doors" or "con kwi sta doors"?

Also, they would have to use this music as their general theme:

Condors are scavengers, right? Not a real bird of prey that actually kills what they eat, but something that only looks impressive yet basically only takes leftovers.

Yeah, that sounds about right for that franchise.
