The Diamondbacks opened their 2019 Spring Training schedule on a crisp, sunny, 52 degree day at Salt River fields. With the snow capped Mcdowell Mountains and Four Peaks in the background, today was a day the fans sitting on the sun side along the 3rd base line got the better of it. Next week will be a different story I suppose as the temps should reach the mid 70’s. Rule 5 pick Nick Green got the start for the Diamondbacks today. He successfully navigated two scoreless innings, working around a 2 out double by David Dahl in the first, and a HBP and a Walk in the 2nd as the Ketel Marte Nick Ahmed keystone combo picked him up with a nifty double play. Green’s Cut Fastball, Curve and Slider combo looked pretty good to me. But he will have a tough road to make the opening day roster. Perhaps the DBacks will end up trying to make a trade for him before the end of spring. If they can’t and he doesn’t make the roster , he will have to be returned to the Yankees. read more https://www.azsnakepit.com/2019/2/2...rizona-diamondbacks-3-steven-souza-nick-green
