The long awaited rematch has arrived. Monday night the Colts travel to Foxboro where they haven't won in over a decade. The Pats are struggling to stay above .500 with all the injuries coupled with a tough opening schedule. However with Bruschi back in the mix things appear to be on the upswing. On the other hand it's obvious that Bruschi alone can't stop the Colts. The Pats offense especially the running game is gonna have to be on it's A game in order to keep Manning off the field as much as possible. Easier said than done. My prediction: Colts 37 Pats 31
This game is a difficult one to get a handle on. The Patriots are in the Colts' heads. There's no question about that. However, if the Patriots play this Sunday like they did last Sunday, they might get their butts handed to them. I was shocked to see the Pats, especially on offense, playing so dead. I believe the Colts might actually win since their defense is bringing something to the table this year. Should be a good game.
I was listening to NFL Total Access on the radio on the way home last night. I couldn't tell who it was -- maybe Terrell Davis, but it wasn't Rich Eisen -- but someone made the bold statement that if Indy won this one, they would finish the year undefeated. Most people would disagree, but you have to give the guy credit for stepping out and making a bold statement. Both teams are going to want this game. The Pats need it record-wise, and the Colts just need to beat the Pats sometime. I wonder what it would do to this Colts team for the rest of the season if they lose.
It was Lincoln Kennedy & he also went on to say that if the Colts lose on Monday that they will not win the SB this year. Perhaps he has a future with ABC that we don't know about, but I don't look at this as a make or break game for either team. Colts will probably have home field advatage & the Pats will be the under dogs once again regardless.
I think Indy is going to win. Indy is just a better team in my opinion this season. Injuries probably have to do with that and the pressure of 3 peating doesn't help the Pats out either. It should be a close game for the majority of the game. In the end though I think the Colts are to much this season with a good defense and offense for the banged up Patriots.
The thing that the colts now bring to the nfl this year is a good defense. So this years team is better than last years team that lost to NE. I think the Colts have to much skill to lose to the injury-wrecked patriots
well if you look at the colts and who they have played and look at who the pats have had to play. the colts have had it a little easier. not to say that their defense isn't better. either way i like the pats being the underdog. they always play better when everyone is picking agaist them to win.
The weather won't be a factor (ice, snow, etc.) Should be interesting to see if Dungy has made any progress in figuring out the Pats. I think Indy wins, but the head game might be too much for Manning. If they win, it will be on the defense.
I think Indy is going to win because: 1. The Colts had a bye last week 2. The Pats still have an injured defence even with Bruschi 3. Tom Brady isn't as good at home
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Hawk)</div><div class='quotemain'>3. Tom Brady isn't as good at home</div> How do you figure that? Why because he lost one game at home for the first time in twenty some starts......
you know i'm going out on a limb and saying that the Pats are going to win this game. i'm just going on a hunch here. I think both teams are going to want this game a lot. Patriots have a huge advantage at home... Hawk, Tom Brady is very good at home and very good everywhere regardless thats not a valid reason at all and you cant support that statement. It'll be a well fought game but i think the Pats will win this in a tight Viniteri type situation. theres a bold statement...

If they do win, I don't know if it will be considered an upset or not. Last week, I picked the Texans over the Browns simply because they were "due" to win and the Browns arn't that good of a team so the Colts could be due to lose and the Pats are a good team -- better than the Chargers. LT is good not the Chargers now I know porky you are going to come to this thread and say "Well the Chargers beat the Pats!" but the Pats have the better offence AND defence so they are better. Plus Bruschi was not there when the Pats faced the Chargers so they had an advantage and the Pats are the super bowl champs. Post 100.

I think this is the best team the Colts have faced all year and I wouldn't be shocked to see the Colts lose at all. I don't think anyone. I did get lost in your post though. What do the Chargers beating the Pats have to do with the Colts vs Patriots?
the colts have really stepped it up on defense and are a better team but as people have pointed out sometime or another they really havent played that many really good teams not a lot of good contenders. This will be a real test for both teams

It showed that you based the Packer defense off of reputation. Go READ the entire THREAD AGAIN and you'll see that you were lured into a trap and you took the bait. I noticed that you never responded or gave an answer in that thread. Also I'm not the one who brought up the Chargers in this thread.... I often wonder that some of are really younger members have know idea what their talking about.

I think that Peyton will light up this pats secondary. Rodney Harrison is a great safety, that had mannings # in a couple games and Harrison is out, so Peyton should do good, and the corners are not deep at all
