8-10 is my window. JUST getting WiFi. My objective is to setup PS Vue so I can watch/record summer league/Blazer games. Is there anything I need to know? I want this to go smoothly.
No offense taken. I'm not sure what you mean. I don't own a service provider? I am setting up PS Vue. I just wanted info on how it's done so there aren't any hiccups.
I dont think he understood. I think he took it as xfinity is coming to hook up vue for you, when he is really coming to install xfinity wifi.
I mean like, why aren't you connecting the wires for the internet yourself? It's just coax in and out, then connect with ethernet cord to your ps3/4 As far as hiccups go. Make sure you watch everything he does and ask questions. He might get annoyed but when I moved to Mac I had a guy from comcast come out and try to tell me I had to pay for him coming out. I told him, no you replaced the box. This wasn't an issue on my end due to improper setup. Explained to him what he did and he shut his mouth. Guess this is one of the benefits for being a former comcast employee.
When I got Comcast installed here, which I love, my installer gave me a card with his cell number for any questions. Good luck. Life needs to be easy sometines.
I'm renting as well ~ Wire from wall to box. Ethernet cable from box to ps3/4. I really feel like I'm being an ass typing this way.
2K of course. I play all types of games from sports to strategy. I LOVE RPGs. Currently playing: 2K17, Horizon, Star Wars Battlefield, FIFA17. I just finished that new Deus Ex (AMAZING), and I just bought that Morrowind Elder Scrolls Online. Tryna get online with that on SATURDAY. I can't wait.
I don't have service. They're coming to install. Don't they have to come out for that? Is this something I can do without somebody coming?
Yes, they have to come out for that to activate your modem. I got PS Vue. Downloaded an app for my Sony Bravia smart TV. Works great, but a little more clunky than a regular cable/DVR setup. I can also stream on my PC and phone.
