G Scott Greenham made 48 saves and five different players lit the lamp as the Bakersfield Condors (12-27-1-2, 27pts) took down the Utah Grizzlies (15-17-2-3, 35pts) 5-2 Saturday night at Maverik Center.

The Grizzlies drew first blood on the night and took a 1-0 lead into the dressing room through 20 minutes of play. Greenham was sharp, however, guiding his team through a trying opening frame by stopping 21 shots.

In the second the Condors started to take over. Tempers flared with a pair of fights in the first five minutes of the period. F Brett Lyon put the Condors on the board, finally beating G Shane Owen at 15:16. Less than three minutes later F Francis Verreault gave Bakersfield the lead on the power play. Meanwhile Bakersfield out-shot the Grizzlies 14-13 in the middle stanza.

Bakersfield scored twice in the first 6:08 of the third to put down any thoughts of a Utah comeback. D Francis Meilleur scored at 2:08 of the period, and 240 seconds later F Peter Boyd buried a centering feed from LW Evan Trupp for his 10th of the season to make it 4-1 and chase Owen from the Utah net. RW Brett Perlini added his fourth of the season and second in as many nights at 11:35. A goal with just seconds remaining on the clock for Utah accounted for the final score.
