....^^^^ WOW MO' mowed the Writer's down. Rivera became the first player to be unanimously voted into the Hall. Apropos
A very deserving class. It's pretty funny Edgar is going in with Mo. One of the few hitters that had his number.
A Mets Fan bitter over the 2000 World Series told me that the Yankees were lucky to have Mariano Rivera. Not luck, he was a prize Yankee find along wit other 4 core members to succeed in the tradition of the New York Yankees. Game two of the '95 alds was a work night but I managed to catch the innings that Mo pitched on my ride home. What a performance. Ever time Mo came in win, lose, or draw it was an adventure.
On MLB network he was asked if he liked the music by Metallica which was "Sandman" . The stadium audio crew would play that as he entered. He said he doesn't like that kind of music. Metallica was on a standby feed and they all put Congrats to him.
Incredible 2b the One and ONLY MLB Stud with a 100% Vote, and a Yankee Great at that.... Now let's give Mo, Jeter and Yogi their Monuments NOW, no further delays... History is made daily....
Meant to say it is an amazing feat that baseball writers of America can agree on anything with a consensus of 100%
During that Press Conference Mo stated that his greatest moments of being a Yankee occurred every time he put on that Jersey. What a great attitude. Stanton, Sanchez, and Boone take note.
A-hole shouldn't even be questioned about HOF. Hear him today state that he could not speak on Bonds or Clemens because the light was shining on two of his brothers (Mo & Mussina) getting in. He further declined comment on his own candidacy because of his "mistakes'He's got money and J-Lo, just go off in the sunset and fade away but the network baseball jerks keep him employed.
For all the thrills The Sandman gave me, he deserves the unanimous vote. Congrats to Moose. Great entrants in Edgar Martinez & Roy Halladay. Kudos to all.
Congrats to all, but especially to Mo for that incredible feat of being the first ever to be unanimous!
