    Just saw the game highlights on Quick Pitch with Ichiro getting hit 4K. Reaaly a nice gesture for his team mates to join him at first base and offer congrats. Per post game Ichiro stated that he was touched by the gestures by the fans as well as his team mates. I feel that he has played well for the Yankees this season, great on the bases and in the field, hitting took a step but finally got there, When he is in the outfield I always feel confident. And you too Mo, nice pick off at 2nd base tonight.

    I can only imagine what his hit total would have been had he started his career here. The think that amazes the hell out of me was the 10 straight 200 hit seasons. Which BTW: ties Pete Rose for the most all time. And it took Rose 20+ years to accomplish his feat.

    Pete Rose = (10)
    Ichiro = (10)
    Ty Cobb = (9)

    If anyone is interested 8 times has been Paul Waner, Willie Keeler, Lou Gehrig, And the great ......wait for it.........................Derek Jeter.
