if we can't win this one at home with no Conley when we are desperate then we are truly crapola http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/237578/Mike-Conley-Out-For-Game-4-With-Facial-Injury
Calathes and Udrih will wipe the floor with us. lol. Lets just end this series, no need to go back to memphis just to get beat anyway.
Well, if Conley is also out for Game 5, we may not actually lose. Imagine that. It sort of evens things out for us being without Wes. Keep in mind, we outscored MEM in both the 3rd and 4th quarters last night, and that was even with all the intentional fouling over the last two minutes. Yes, you want to beat the best and beat them at full strength, but we're not full strength and MEM hasn't seen us play anywhere close to our best ball in this series. You hate to see a player get injured. Conley is a good player and seems like a great guy. I wish him a speedy and complete recovery, but his absence could turn the tide of this series. They will miss him running their offense, but even more they will miss his lock down defense on Dame. Udrih and Calethes may be able to score as much (or almost as much) as Conley, but neither can guard Lillard the way Conley can. This is why they continue to play the games, even when down 0-3. Prior to last night, the last Blazers playoff game I'd attended was Game 6 against Dallas in 2003 when we came back from being down 0-3 to force Game 7. I have tickets for Game 6 this year, too and hope I get to use them. BNM
It only takes 1 four game winning streak but I want the young guys getting every playoff minute they can before the fat lady sings
Probably. Sounds like he would have played game 3 but wanted to rest up for game 4. That's what all the reports were saying... somewhere along the lines of "resting up for game 4."
Woah, did he have a similar injury to Westbrooks? That sucks. Udrih and Catheter were kicking the shit out of the blazers guards, so it's not advantage Portland.
well if we can't adjust and deal with and outplay Udrih and Calathes then there are big time issues on many levels which this series has so far certainly shown
the tides are turning. blazers in 7. let's fucking do it. we had plenty of 4 game win streaks throughout the season. believe harder
Surgery would likely mean he'd be out for the series even if it somehow miraculously extended to 7 games. Perhaps there's a chance, however slight.
