"Cornerback Tarell Brown is celebrating an anniversary of sorts. A year ago, Brown seized a starting job in 49ers training camp and never relinquished it. That was his plan. "That's in every player's mind," Brown said Saturday. "When you come to training camp, you're fighting for your position." Brown isn't losing that fight a week into this camp, although Chris Culliver is impressing daily while fellow backups Tramaine Brock and Perrish Cox also are excelling. "He's become a real pro at his position," defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said of Brown. When incumbent starter Shawntae Spencer got hurt at the start of last year's camp, Brown took advantage.
