Omicron can hit fully vaccinated, Oxford study says, as UK prepares for tidal wave of cases

    KEY POINTS
    • In a new study announced on Monday, researchers from the University of Oxford tested blood samples of people 28 days after their second dose of either the Oxford-AstraZeneca or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
    • When omicron was introduced to those samples, scientists reported "a substantial fall" in the neutralizing antibodies that fight off Covid compared to the immune responses seen against earlier variants

Except that's not what's happening at all. He is releasing their recommendations. Everybody knows he has a profit motive.

That's why we have the CDC to verify.

Just because we can detect the ‘genetic fingerprint’ of a virus doesn’t prove it’s the cause of a disease:

“Detection of viral RNA may not indicate the presence of infectious virus or that 2019-nCoV is the causative agent for clinical symptoms.”

So, while there’s little doubt that using PCR to identify the genetic fingerprint of a Covid-19 virus is the gold standard in molecular science, there’s equally no doubt that using it as the gold standard to quantify Covid-19 ‘cases’ and ‘deaths’ is “ill-advised.”

"Allegedly". I'm willing to bet that China has had more deaths than the U.S. Maybe India too?

deaths can be attributed to covid....doubt is being justified by those who are buying into the anti vax propaganda...it's just a republican denial talking point. Fact is in the end the heart stopping beating is the cause of all death but covid has led to a lot of still hearts....almost a million now. There's no reason to die from covid if you have taken safety precautions seriously and gotten vaccinated...of course some people are dying before they get covid...that's true of many types of death....people can eat themselves to death in America....one of the only countries where overeating is a serious disease. The biggest factor in covid denial from everything I've seen is money...people don't want to stop making it and want to open up biz....it's a shame because if we had bought into safety measures two years ago, we would have saved 100's of thousands of lives. When the president gets covid and willingly spreads it ...you've got problems. Some asymptomatic young people have been carriers without knowing it....they are not the high risk segment of the population though...that would be my generation

Add the US to that equation...nursing homes didn't report covid deaths to stay in business early on in the pandemic...I'm sure that's happened everywhere but where we need to look are the countries that successfully kept the worst of it at bay by 100% of the population agreeing to safety protocols....two years and change in we still have tens of thousands of deniers rebelling about public safety.

Not exactly breaking news that a certain group of people don't pay any attention to it.
