Well Tom how about having the team even close to being prepared to play. They come out in these games like it's the first time they have taken the field in a year.
Coughlin's 'I take responsibility act' is getting old and tired. It was the first game of the season, and the Giants were clearly the least prepared team to play of any in the NFL yesterday. It's too bad that once they got their shit somewhat together, it was too late. As a fan Tom - I'm embarrassed as well, and perhaps you should stop polishing your SB rings and get back to work. If not - retire. Forget about the offense for a minute - the defensive schemes are horrible. The lack of premium placed on LB has caused them to play back-ups as starters - the middle of the field and the flank is always open. Any team that wants to move the ball just has to throw screen passes against these LBs, or attack the middle - the Giants can't stop it.
It is going to be a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong year with the lack of talent at LB and the lack of depth at RB. This organization has laid the groundwork for failure with the compilation of their roster. It is not a winning one. Imagine the Giants scoring 4 TDs (which they won't) a game and losing 3 out 4 games a month! SOME PLANNING!
