I'm a big crabbe fan, but this is why I'd be okwith us packaging him with other guys that are not Cj or dame to bring a big guy in. It would only make sense to a team going to be over the cap or near it so they'd have his bird rights to sign him.

Crabbe will probably get 10 million per year this offseason

Actually I guess it wouldn't matter if the other team was over the cap. They could use space before signing him because his cap hold will be tiny.

At any rate, I'm not sure I'd want him for 10 million + per year

More. He's going to get more than $10 million per year.

He very well could. That's quite a payday. I wonder if Olshey believes in him that much to resign him at 12-13/yr.

That's the type of signing that could get people pissed at him if crabbe shits the bed, or he would look like nostradamus if crabbe exploded into an elite 3D guy

Only one of Crabbe or Meyers will be on the team next year. Who would you rather allocate 13-14 MIL a year on? I could go either way honestly (due to Meyers maybe coming back out of it again) which probably means we should do Crabbe. It shouldn't be any question at all in the answer in a normal year (it would be Meyers normally).

Most will say this is a no-brainer with Leonard struggling earlier this year. I bet it isn't a no-brainer for Olshey.

It's Crabbe, he'll be priced per pound.

REALLY.... wow I totally would with the cap ready to skyrocket? 10-12 Im good with it 12 range and Im uneasy its risky but Im confident NO knows what he's paying for. That's the new cost of quality role players now. AC's been really efficient this year getting more and more confident and assertive. Add to that he's our second best wing defender. He definitely gets 10+. He's worth that.

Yep. 10 would actually be a bargain imo, a steal even! People might be forgetting that former MLE-type players are going to get 9 MIL or more with the new cap. I bet he gets more than 10 however...

I believe in Crabbe so much that I would deal CJ for a star quality SF.

The audio on this sounds exactly like it did over the giant metal megaphone at the public swimming pool where I learned to swim as a kid....I can remember hot days...the smell of suntan lotion and frozen snickers bars

We've had Crabbe at a bargain basement price for a few years..he's earned a good payday. I imagine they'll offer him 40 mil for 4 years which was the rumored figure Meyers turned down

I'm a giant crabbe fan. I've loved the guy since Cal. I'm just not sold on giving him much more than 10 million per year. I'm not excited about possibly spending 13-14 million per year on a bench guy
